The 16th and the 23th of October, my new installation called "Belgique, mon amour" will be shown during the Plastic festival@The Old Belle-Vue Brewery/ Ancienne brasserie Belle-Vue (check www.plasticfestival.com or the poster above for details). Kino shown at the Bozar, Brussels, along with music

Some blur appears when I uploaded the video on vimeo, feel free to download Kino from their site instead of watching it in streaming. To feel the experience quite completely, use headphones. Important Remarks: Kino is not a stand alone movie, it should rather be shown in a multi screening installation with complex interactions between screens (ask me if you want more infos). There were some light projections during the session at the Bozar (The Center for Fine Arts in Brussels).

I made 20 new photograms recently and I will show you some of them soon, I promess. Instead of that, i am glad to share a new direction of work... Even though, I must confess that I used the background images scanned and taken in Citizen K International numÈro XXXVII hiver 2005; Pictures by Michael Sanders , it gave me new ideas of shootings...

This image is a sample of new photograms which I worked on. Mixed technique, 115*115 cm each. Aim: Transforming an abstraction by the simple orientation of each pieces and studying space organisation in non-organical material.

This is the second time in my life my name is quoted in a newspaper... the first time, i was kid and it was for a swimming contest.

In reality, my name appeared several times but only as annotations for pictures i made that were published.

In this article, they speak about me again... :D

It was a great experience for me. As I said before i never showed my work to any audience (except a couple of friends). more than two thousand people were stepping the white hotel, the six december 2008, at least 200 hundred visited my room...

The audience in that kind of event is really harsh. I mean drunk at the end... :D

In my room, the 84a, i showed some of what i called photograms and i made an installation in the bathroom.

Saterday 29 th of November 5 am.

I am on the internet. Type http://www.nicolaskohen.com/ on your browser and u ll reach a part of me. Strange feeling. I mean my work can be viewed virtually everywhere on the surface of this little planet. Even if the images i put on it doesnt even deserve to be shown, they exist. I cry.

I would like definitely to thank Anne for the great job she did (u can find a link to her site on my web site) . That was not easy to work with me on that project, I know it but the results are great.

The following blog is aimed to be a kind of a living part of my website. I don't have nor the patience or the skills to update my website. So, i am going to use this blog to share the next steps of my work evolution and to share some thoughts with a non-defined audience (which is not so blatant for me).

I am working on images (cf. the website) but I would like and I am going to work on other media.

This blog won t be updated until a couple of days because i prepare my self for my first exhibition ever (the 6th of December at the White hotel in Brussels)...

Afterwards, I promess to take time for this blog...
